Hujjaj moving back to Mina today to perform several rituals including sacrifice of animals, stoning of devil

Hajj pilgrims are moving back to Mina today to perform several rituals including the symbolic ‘stoning of the devil’ ritual.

After that the pilgrims will head to the Grand Mosque to perform the final Hajj rituals on the third day of their pilgrimage, which is also the first day of Eid al-Adha.

The pilgrims have to perform four main rituals today which is known as the Day of Sacrifice.

After reaching Mina, they will perform stoning at Jamarat Al-Aqba, sacrifice animals, shave their heads and then leave for Makkah to perform Tawaf Al-Ifada and Sai’, two other pillars of Hajj.

In the remaining two or three days of Hajj, the only ritual to perform is stoning at each of the three Jamarat (pillars symbolizing Satan).
