The government has released 151.17 billion rupees under its Public Sector Development Programme 2018-19 for various ongoing and new projects.
According to latest data released by Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, the released funds include 68.74 billion rupees for federal ministries and 18.6 billion for special areas.
Out of these allocations, the government released 58.05 billion rupees for National Highway Authority out of which the major portion of 16.266 billion rupees have been released for Lahore-Multan Motorway M-3 section of Karachi-Lahore Motorway.
The government also released an amount of 11.8 billion rupees for various development projects of Higher Education Commission and 10.13 billion rupees for Atomic Energy Commission.
