GBDWP recommends development projects worth over Rs 58.5b


The Developmental Working party has recommended development projects worth over 58. 5 billion rupees for Gilgit-Baltistan.

The DWP meeting was held in Islamabad with Chief Minister Muhammad Khalid Khorsheed in the chair.

The recommended projects include health, education hydel power and transport sectors.

The DWP approved two billion rupees for upgradation of Gilgit, Chilas and Skardu hospitals and five billion rupees for construction of Medical College.

The party also recommended the construction of a shounter tunnel, Dareal Tangir expressway and establishment of IT centers on each in all ten districts.

Projects for rehabilitation of special persons and scholarship for students were also approved.
