Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with United States Agency for International Development, Administrator, Samantha Power in Washington.

The Foreign Minister thanked Samantha Power in galvanizing support for flood affected people in Pakistan. He also appreciated the United Nations Secretary General humanitarian assistance of 97 million dollars.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed long-term cooperation for rehabilitation and reconstruction of the flood affected people in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister also held a meeting with Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Bob Menendez, Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Tim Kaine and appreciated the US support to Pakistan to relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood-hit areas.

The Foreign Minister said that Congress is playing an important role supporting post-flood recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction in a green and resilient manner.
