The federal government is spending about two billion rupees on the development of irrigation sector in tribal areas.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan Peshawar Correspondent Falak Niaz, a spokesman of FATA Development Authority said work on seventy-two irrigation schemes was been initiated and of them seventeen have been completed.
On completion, the project will bring thousands of acres of barren land under cultivation.
