Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain has directed the Federal Educational Directorate to provide facilities particularly to girls’ schools in the Federal Capital.

Chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that literacy rate in Islamabad should not be less than hundred percent and these schools should be role model for rest of the country.

He further directed the authorities to speed up the process of recruitment of teachers particularly in rural areas. He also stressed upon the formulation of projects focusing on group learning.

The Minister was given briefing on ICT-Private Educational institutions Regulatory Authority's functions, mandate, key initiatives and challenges.
