Rabat (Yuna) - The Executive Council of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World will hold its twenty-second session at the headquarters of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Rabat, on 25 and 26 December 2018. The
Council will discuss two reports of the Secretary- The twenty-first and twenty-second, the financial situation of the Union for the years 2016 and 2017, and the draft work plan and budget for the years 2019-2021.
The Council will also discuss a number of reports on the following academic projects: (Islamic Virtual University), (Application of a mechanism for measuring the performance of the universities of the Islamic world and the roadmap for its implementation), (Launch of the network of strategic planning experts in member universities) And the Center for the Ethics of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a program of understanding for the exchange of students, researchers and professors.
The Council will adopt members of the Board of Directors of the Center for the Ethics of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which will be hosted by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Council will decide on two projects to create the knowledge economy chair at the Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the establishment of the International Institute for Women and Justice at the International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Council will also decide on a number of requests to join the Federation of universities and higher institutes in the countries of the Islamic world.
The Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World was established in 1987 in Rabat and operates within the framework of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), and to date has 322 universities and institutes.
