Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized the need to further strengthen economic, trade, investment, agricultural, and people-to-people cooperation with Canada. He expressed these views during a meeting with Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Tarik Ali Khan, in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the positive trajectory of Pak-Canada relations and the ongoing high-level engagement. He also acknowledged the important role of the Pakistani diaspora in promoting bilateral ties between the two nations.
The Canadian High Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for supporting the import of Canadian Canola into Pakistan. He also highlighted the progress of Barrick Gold on the Reko Diq Project and noted the willingness of other Canadian companies to invest in Pakistan.
