DPM, Canadian FM Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Trade


Islamabad: Pakistan and Canada have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutually beneficial economic cooperation. This came during a telephonic conversation between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.



According to Radio Pakistan, the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral trade and investment in sectors such as agriculture and mines and minerals, as well as collaboration under the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPPA). The Canadian Foreign Minister thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for facilitating market access for Canadian canola exports to Pakistan.



Both leaders appreciated recent constructive engagements and agreed to remain in close contact.
