Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says multipurpose Diamir-Basha dam is critical for Pakistan's water security and clean energy needs.

In a tweet on Sunday, he expressed hope that this project can be completed by 2026-27 instead of initial deadline of 2029.

He said nothing is impossible to attain if we put our hearts and soul into rebuilding Pakistan.
