Islamabad: Weather is likely to remain cold and dry over most parts of the country. Very cold weather is expected in hilly areas during morning and night hours. Smog and fog in patches may develop over the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during morning and night hours.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature of major cities recorded this morning included Islamabad and Peshawar at four degrees centigrade, Lahore at ten, Karachi at fifteen, Quetta at minus-three, Gilgit at minus-six, Murree at two, and Muzafarabad at three degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates very cold and partly cloudy weather in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu will experience cold and dry weather. Temperature recorded this morning in these areas showed Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian at minus-three degrees centigrade, Jammu at eight, Leh at minus-seven, and Pulwama and Baramula at minus-two degrees centigrade.
