Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has emphasized that climate change is no longer a prediction but a real threat. She was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Pakistan Pavilion at COP 30 in Brazil today.
According to Radio Pakistan, she highlighted the launch of the revolutionary Clean Punjab Program. The Chief Minister said steps are being taken to protect wildlife and forests, with special focus on plantation campaigns across Punjab. She emphasized that collective efforts are needed to combat climate change and protecting forests is essential for this cause.
She further mentioned that modern technology, including drones, is being used to protect forests and wildlife.
