Army Chief commends professional competence, devotion of formations’ troops

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Multan on Friday.

According to ISPR, he interacted with officers and men of Multan Garrison.

While interacting with strike formations’ troops, the Army Chief commended their extraordinary professional competence and devotion to duty in the service of motherland.

Earlier on his arrival, he was received by Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz Satti.

COAS visits Army strategic forces command headquarters in Rawalpindi

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Army Strategic Forces Command Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

During the visit, he interacted with officers and troops and appreciated their professionalism as well as high state of morale.

Earlier on arrival, the Army Chief was received by Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali.

Indian troops martyr one more Kashmiri youth in IIOJK

Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism today martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The troops martyred the youth in a fake encounter during a continued military operation in Sudpora area of Kupwara district.

Angelina Jolie expresses solidarity with flood victims of Pakistan

Hollywood Actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie, who is visiting Pakistan, to show solidarity and support for flood victims, visited National Flood Response Coordination Centre.

Deputy Chairman NFRCC Ahsan Iqbal welcomed Ms Jolie and thanked her for visiting Pakistan during the most devastated floods in the history of Pakistan.

Angelina Jolie was briefed about flood response and measures taken.

Speaking on the occasion, Angelina Jolie said she is deeply moved to see people’s suffering during her yesterday visit to Dadu in Sindh province where she met flood victims.

Angelina Jolie said she is with flood affected people and will make her efforts to let the world know the scale of devastation these climate changes have done and the lifesaving support they need.

Canada expresses support to Pakistan in mitigating disastrous impacts of floods

The Canadian Minister for International Development, Harjit Singh Sajjan, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

He expressed condolences for the flood victims and assured that Canada would support Pakistan to mitigate the disastrous impacts of the floods and climate change.

The Prime Minister thanked Harjit Singh for his visit during such a testing times when Pakistan is battling the effects of devastating floods, that caused extensive damage and suffering.

He also expressed his appreciation for Canadian solidarity and assistance for rescue and relief efforts.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan requires experts and technical assistance for rebuilding climate-resilient infrastructure that can stand the disastrous effects of natural calamities in future.

Afghan CG thanks Pakistan for humanitarian assistance to quake hit people

Afghan Consul General Hafiz Mohibullah has appreciated generosity of Pakistani people and charity organizations for helping the people of Afghanistan hit by the recent deadly earthquake.

He was speaking at the function held to handover donations and funds collected by businessmen for the quake victims of Afghanistan.

Representatives of Sarafa and Jewelers Association, Currency Exchange Association and traders’ organizations were present on the occasion and assured all possible help to the Afghan people.

He thanked Pakistan for offering its sincere sympathy over the loss of human lives, timely humanitarian assistance and support following the deadly earthquake in Afghanistan.

The Afghan Consul General also appreciated the businessmen and people of Peshawar for their support in collection of cash donations for the aid of brothers awaiting help in the neighboring country.

Hafiz Mohibullah also expressed the hope that the bilateral cooperation for the welfare of the two countries will continue in future.
