Cabinet approves restoration of 11 petroleum exploration licenses

Federal Cabinet has approved restoration of eleven revoked petroleum exploration licenses on recommendation of Petroleum Division.

The Federal Cabinet met in Islamabad with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair.

As a result of this initiative, exploration activities will start in these eleven blocks.

During the meeting, Ministry of Planning presented the Post Disaster Needs Assessment report in the context of floods in the country this year.

It was informed that the PDNA will support medium to long term planning to rebuild flood affected areas in a climate resilient manner.

The Prime Minister directed to complete the Resilient, Recovery, Renovation and Rehabilitation Plan as soon as possible. He said the opinion of all provinces and other stakeholders must be taken in this regard.

The Federal Cabinet approved the signing of Transit Trade Agreement between Pakistan and Tajikistan. The agreement is likely to be signed during the expected visit of President of Tajikistan to Pakistan.
