The General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) announced on Saturday that 278,000 people pray in the Grand Mosque, and 107,000 pilgrims circumambulate the Holy Kaaba every 60 minutes.
There are also more than 10,000 staff members from the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque tending to pilgrims and visitors' needs.
Furthermore, 42 research and scholarly papers have been published by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute of Hajj and Umrah Research, to develop an all-encompassing and sustainable system for Hajj, Umrah, and visit.
The institute's duties include conducting scientific studies and research, which aim to facilitate Hajj and Umrah rituals, and provide the best possible care and services for pilgrims and visitors.
