King Hamad: Bahrain’s progressive march is based on golden record of justice

Manama Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasized that the progressive march of the Kingdom of Bahrain has always been, and will remain forever, inscribed in a golden record based on justice and derived from the forthright Islamic teachings, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Citing the issuance of the royal order on the formation of a Sharia panel to revise the proposed draft family law, King Hamad described the step as basic to ensure bill's compliance with the provisions of Sharia based on the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It also comes "to consolidate the positive values and principles of the national unity without any external affiliations that are alien to our inherent principles, customs and traditions."

All the external forces' plots, aimed at dividing the nation, were challenged by the patriotic Bahraini people through an inclusive national unity that shunned all the factors of discord and sectarian divisions, the king said.

King Hamad pointed out that Bahrain's leadership has always been keen to protect its citizens against harm and safeguard them from evils in the midst these hard times. He underlined the consolidation of patriotic spirit that would bring all the citizens together and serve the interest of all the people without any discrimination or exclusion.
