Khushhalibank launches ATM/Debit card facility

Islamabad, May 14, 2015 (PPI-OT): Khushhalibank (KBL), one of the fastest growing microfinance banks in Pakistan, recently announced the launch of its “Khushhali ATM/Debit Card” as part of its efforts to address the growing need of its emergent customer base. Currently the bank will issue the ATM/Debit card to its customers as part of KBL’s liability product offering. The card can be used at ATMs connected to 1Link / MNET and (ORIX) POS machines throughout Pakistan.

In December 2014, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) granted permission to Khushhalibank to get into a strategic partnership with United Bank Limited (UBL) for outsourcing its Issuer (card management) set up, entailing Call Center services and Switch facilities. Khushhalibank designated UBL because of their unmatched suite of payment products and extensive country wide network, a fact, which will allow Khushhalibank’s customer to access their money conveniently on a 24/7 basis.

KBL is determined to enhance its Alternate Delivery Channels in order to leverage the transaction cost. With the launch of the ATM/Debit card, KBL unlocks the opportunity to serve its customers outside the bank branches. For customers, ATM cards offer transactional convenience and reduced costs through time savings and less travel expenses.

ATM/Debit card will also enable to level the playing field between KBL and other banks that have similar service offerings, and will provide KBL the ability to attract a larger customer base due to the added convenience. These cards will be accepted at nationwide ATMs and UBL (Orix) POS machines, enabling KBL customers to avail a whole host of facilities that such products allow.
