Death anniversary of Moin Akhtar observed

The 13th death anniversary of legendary artist, comedian, actor and host Moin Akhtar was observed on Monday. He was born on 24th December, 1950 in Karachi. Moin Akhtar made his television debut on 6th September, 1966. He performed several roles in television stage shows, dramas, films and talk shows. His best dramas were Eid Train, Studio Dhai, Bakra Qistoon Per, Fifty-Fifty, Loose Talk and many others. He was fluent in several languages, including English, Bengali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Memon, Pashto, Gujarati and Urdu. Moin Akhtar was awarded the Pride of Performance in 1996 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2011 on his outstanding performance. He passed away on this day in 2011 in Karachi after suffering a heart attack. Death anniversary of Babu Baral observed

The 13th death anniversary of renowned comedian and actor of stage, television and film industry, Ayub Akhtar, popularly known as Babu Baral was observed on Tuesday. Babu Baral began his professional career as comedian from Gujranwala in 1982. After sometime, he started work at Open Air Theater in Bagh e Jinnah, Lahore. The 15th death anniversary of Pashto poet and writer Professor Pareshan Khattak was observed on Tuesday. He was born on December 10, 1931 in Karak. His book, Pashtun Kon, is a worthy contribution to Pashto literature, which has clearly mentioned with evidence the origin of Pathans and is mentioned as a reference book all over the world. 19th death anniversary of music composer Amjad Bobby observed

19th death anniversary of renowned music composer of Pakistan film industry Amjad Bobby was observed on Monday. Amjad Bobby composed music for a number of blockbuster films including Ik Nagina, Bobby, Lazawaal, Sangam, Ghunghat, Koi Tujh Sa Kahan, Inteha and 'Yeh Dil Aap Ka Hua. In recognition of his music compositions, he received Nigar Award twice in 1983 and 1997 and Bolan Award in 1999. Amjad Bobby died of cardiac arrest at the age of 63 on this day in 2005 in Lahore. The 17th death anniversary of renowned classical semi-classical, and playback singer Asad Amanat Ali Khan was observed today [Monday]. Born in 1955, Asad Amanat Ali Khan hailed from famous Patiala Gharana. He was son of famous singer Ustad Amanat Ali Khan. His famous songs include; Kal Chowdhwein Ki Raat thi, Ankhain ghazal hain ap ki, awaz woh jaadu sa jagati hui aawaz, ghar wapis jabaao gy tum and umraan langiyan pabbhaan phaar.
